Personal Background
Both Adelbert and Leona are from Ohio, and were saved in April, 1983. They have three grown children: Lela, Adelbert Jr., and Ralph.

Ministry Background
After his Bible college training, Adelbert assisted Dr. Robert Shaw at Glenford Bible Church for eighteen months as Sunday School Superintendent, visitation pastor, and youth worker. On Easter Sunday 1993, he began Faith Baptist Church in rural New Marshfield, Ohio, in a church building that had been closed for fifteen years. Their average attendance now is 30 for Sunday services, and 25 for their youth ministry on Wednesdays.

Ministry Highlights
(1) One of their ministries includes the Hocking Valley Correction facilities for boys, ages 13 to 18, where several have made decisions for Christ over the years.
(2) They have had two new families join recently and two others show promise.
(3) The church now owns their building, but there continues to be a delay in securing its title.

Prayer Requests
(1) Ask the Lord to bring in many visitors, especially those who have come in the past, as Dr. James Earls preaches on Easter Sunday for their twelfth anniversary.
(2) Harold Loucks, the Assistant to the Director of BHM, and his wife will spend eight weeks with them for an extensive visitation outreach. During the weekends, interested churches are invited to bring their teens and adult sponsors to help with the mass canvassing of the area. Pray that the Lord will bring in many people to the church through this special effort.
(3) While there, Harold will conduct revival meetings to challenge the church people for visitation in hopes that the Lord will burden them to visit the lost in their community.
(4) Also, Cathy will teach the ladies’ Sunday School class while Harold instructs the teens and adults in what they trust will be life-changing blessings for the people.
(5) Pray for the Lord’s will concerning an old school building nearby that will soon be auctioned because it would be a more stable structure to give them an acre of land for parking and other activities.
